27th Annual Christmas Times Benefit Brunch

| The 27th annual “Christmas Times” family holiday brunch sponsored by the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Junior Women’s Club is scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 9:00 at the Deer Path Inn in Lake Forest. This festive event which delights parents and children alike every year includes a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa arrives at 8:35 in his Red Fire Engine to greet the children, giving them an opportunity to tell him and Mrs. Claus about their holiday wish lists. Elves and holiday characters including “the Grinch” and “Frosty” roam the brunch handing out treats and posing for pictures, while guests enjoy a full breakfast offered by the Deerpath Inn. Games, balloons, crafts delight children throughout the morning and magic shows at 10:15 and 11:30 am round out the program. Kathleen Weinstein Photography will also be on hand to capture photo memories of families dressed in their holiday finery. Christmas Times benefits the Lake County Haven with their mission to shelter women and their children transitionally, thus providing them with the opportunities necessary to make life changes which lead to independence. This is all possible through the generous support of donors and fund raising events, including several sponsored by the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Junior Women’s Club. Founded in 1955, The Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Junior Women’s Club is a social and philanthropic organization which promotes friendship and community support through meetings and events. Available for advance purchase only, “Christmas Times” tickets are $22 for children ages 2-12 and $50 per adult; children under 1 are free. Seating times are: 9:00am and 10:30am.
