We are excited to announce our 4th annual Scavenger Hunt for 2009. Due to great support in 2008, the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Junior Women’s Club was able to donate $20,000 to the The Lake County Haven, thanks in large part to the North Shore Scavenger Hunt. The Lake County Haven is a safe, caring home that shelters local homeless women and children during a time of crisis. The Haven provides residents with guidance and the tools necessary to rebuild their lives so that they can be self-sufficient. The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Junior Women’s Club has supported the Lake County Haven for six years.
The North Shore Scavenger Hunt has consistently created a buzz about town due to its ability to bond its participants through fun, laughter and good old-fashioned competition. Over 20 limousines and hummers with over 200 people scoured the North Shore to look for clues in solving the riddles presented to their team captains. A sample question might be “How many steps are there between the upper and lower parking lots of Lake Forest Beach?”
This year’s Scavenger Hunt is set for October 24, 2009 at Lovell's of Lake Forest. Cocktails and appetizers will be served from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The actual Scavenger Hunt will begin at 7:30 pm. Limos will return to Lovell's no later than 10:00 pm and the evening will continue with an open buffet, cash bar, dj and dancing.
Only 200 tickets are available! This event has sold out the past 3 years before formal invitations were mailed and we expect this to happen again this fall. Tickets are $145 per person. Stretch limos are available for $1,160 for eight passengers and luxury limos for $2,240 for twelve passengers. Only 6 luxury limos are available, so call early to reserve as they go quickly! Luxury limos are given priority to exit Lovell's first. As stretch limos are paid either in full or with 8 individual tickets they are given their place in the departure order. As an incentive to new members, you may purchase tickets at the discount price of $125 per ticket if you join and pay your membership dues at the time of purchase. Founded in 1955, The Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Junior Women’s Club is an open social and philanthropic organization which promotes friendship and community support through meetings and events. Cindy Raymond is President of the Club; Stacey Moe and Christiana Walsh are First Vice Presidents and North Shore Scavenger Hunt Benefit Co-Directors.
